Ingredients
- 1¼ pounds asparagus (approximately one bundle)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lemon zest
Instructions
- Snap the woody end off the end of an asparagus spear. Cut the remaining asparagus to approximately the same length. Rinse and dry the asparagus
- Spread the trimmed asparagus in a bowl, and coat with the olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Place the asparagus over the fire, and cook for approximately 7-10 minutes, or until they’re almost cooked through. Turn them as needed, to help them brown and almost-char evenly. Remove from the heat
- Spread the zest over the asparagus, and serve immediately
Notes
When you place the asparagus on the grill, make sure they’re perpendicular to the long grate openings, so they don’t fall into the fire
