Ingredients

  • 6 ounces dark chocolate (chopped. Chocolate chips work well too)
  • 4 oz butter (cut into small pieces)

Instructions

  • In a double boiler, or in a stainless steel bowl over a saucepan of simmering water, melt the chocolate and the butter
  • After the chocolate and butter have melted, cool them down to approximately 80º-85ºF
  • Make sure your ice cream is very cold for this step: carefully dip the ice cream cone into the chocolate, or pour the chocolate over the ice cream, in a thin stream. It will then harden on the ice cream
