Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup orange juice (or water)
- 12 ounces cranberries (fresh)
- 1 zest orange
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, add the sugar and orange juice. Bring to boil, and add the cranberries
- Return the mixture to a boil, and reduce the heat to medium low. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. The sauce is ready when most of the cranberries have burst
- Remove from heat. If you were to add any additional flavors (see below), add them now, and let it cool to room temperature
- Refrigerate, and serve chilled. It will thicken when it’s cooled
Notes
Makes approximately 2 ¼ cups Other things to add to your cranberry sauce:
- Liqueurs

- Dried fruit
